Oh hey! Chris here.
If you’ve stumbled upon this website then you’ve probably Googled something ranging from How to flip a LED on/off on an Arduino? all the way to How to give a speech on Leadership?
Who the hell are you?
To start things off, let me introduce myself. My name is Christophe El Khoury. I’m a fresh computer engineering graduate residing here in Lebanon, the heart of the Middle East, an electronics hobbyist, an extreme extrovert with a passion for music and nature. I’ve also been teaching leadership, diplomacy, the art of conflict resolution at the Model UN program for the past 5 years.
Okay… What about this website?
Well first of all, this website wasn’t built as a project, nor as a profit kind of thing. Hence it’s powered and hosted by WordPress for free. It’s one of my goals, if you like, to spread whatever it is that I’ve learned over the past few years of my life so that you guys won’t have to go through the hassle I went through. If you are able to related to just one of the things I write here, whether it’s electronics related, programming related, or simply a soft skill you’d like to acquire, then I would be more than happy.
So what do I expect to find here?
To tell you the truth? I have absolutely no idea. This “about” page is the first thing I wrote after creating my WordPress account. There’s no plan, there’s no pathway I’m going to cross there’s only the goal that is reaching out to every student out there sitting at their desk thinking what the hell am I doing with my life?
You know what scratch that. The goal that is reaching out to every human being doing whatever the hell it is that you’re doing while reading this but have an issue you need to work on.
How often will you post?
I really don’t know. Whenever I have the time I guess? If I don’t have the time to go through a step-by-step tutorial on how to set up your PIC microprocessor, I’d probably have the time to write an article on how to approach that girl you’ve had your eye on for the past decade like the creep that I was.
Well what if I need more?
Alright here’s the thing. I may not be posting everything on here, this is not your average multi-hundred-thousand-dollar tutorial website, but if what you’re looking for is remotely close to what’s here on the website, or if you feel that I may know a thing or 2 about it based on what you’re reading here, you can go ahead and shoot me a text, email, Facebook message, Twitter message, whatever the hell it is that you want, I’ll probably reply to it with “Hold on let me check it out” or “I’m sorry I don’t know but I’ll try to help you”.
Just do me one favor. Whether you’re not able to print out a simple “Hello World!” message using Java or C, or you don’t know how to tie your shoes or you really can’t get a decent hour of sleep at night, make sure to click on any of the social media links at the bottom of the page and shoot me up with a text, email, or whatever. If I don’t reply within 2 days, then your message probably didn’t get through to me, try a different platform. Whatever it is, I promise I’ll reply. Alright? Cool.
So what’s the catch?
There’s no catch. Really. Some people genuinely want to just give and get nothing in return. I’ve been blessed with productive parents who give me more than I need, just enough for me not to have to work a part-time job to pay-off my college debts so instead of sitting home all day long doing nothing, might as well help those who need it.
Oh and just in case you’re wondering, that’s me and my family at my mom’s birthday last Christmas. There’s my brother, Nicolas, holding our dog, Ivy. My parents and then there’s me with the hair all over my face. Now that you know me, if you feel like it, give yourself a shot at telling me who you are!
